Phil Daw
Phil Daw is the former CFO of Gymshark, an advisor and investor with more than four decades of experience supporting founder-led and fast-growing businesses.
Introduced to Ben Francis and Steve Hewitt in 2015, Phil first supported Gymshark as an external accountant and advisor before joining as CFO in early 2019. He was part of the leadership team during a pivotal chapter in the company’s growth, as Gymshark evolved from fast-moving scale-up to billion-pound unicorn following the 2020 investment from General Atlantic.
Before Gymshark, Phil co-founded Daw White Murrall, an accountancy and advisory firm supporting owner-managed businesses with finance, strategy and growth. Since leaving Gymshark, he has co-founded The Whanau Advisory, helped establish the Hewitt family office, and continues to work as a non-executive director, advisor and investor.
Phil lives in Bournemouth with his wife and has three children and four grandchildren.
