Shafiq has a diverse background covering, health and fitness, banking, retail and retail management, social housing, corporate and micro finance over the last twenty years.

Shafiq has been the Founder of NRG over the last twelve years and has successfully launched seven sites across the UK and raised in excess of £9m of private equity funding and over £3m of debt funding throughout this period to support the rollout.

NRG is focused on establishing HVLP facilities across the UK.

Prior to this, experiences include supporting the launch and rolling out of a microfinance bank in India, and working on a number of corporate finance transactions

Shafiq is also a board member of the Health and Fitness Association and a Parent School Governor at his Son’s school.

Previously Shafiq has also been a non-exec director for a Peabody Social Housing subsidiary.
