Steven Ward
Strategy Director, GO fit
Steven joined GO fit in 2019 where he serves as Strategy Director, forming part of the Executive Committee of the company. GO fit is a European health and wellbeing operator serving over 270,000 customers in Spain, Portugal, and Italy. Steven is responsible for the strategic planning cycle of the company, preparing its investor relations materials, and the function within GO fit that oversees the translation of data and insights into impactful action within the business.
Prior to joining GO fit, Steven spent nearly 15 years at ukactive, including four years leading it as the CEO. In 2016 he established Active Lab, the first dedicated incubator programme for fitness technology in the health and fitness sector, facilitating the interaction between innovative new market entrants, established players and investors. The programme supported more than 50 companies through multiple cycles of the programme.
Steven currently serves on the Board of Directors of EuropeActive, elected to represent multisite multinational operators. In this role he has sponsored the creation of Next Level Leaders, a new leadership development programme for high potential top talent within the market, which includes dedicated modules on strategy, leadership and exploiting the potential of technology to create business value.
Steven lives in London with his young family, and is a proud Myzone Hall of Fame member with Elite Status.
