Blair McHaney

Blair McHaney is CEO of MXMetrics, Medallia’s partner to the fitness industry. MXMetrics is the leading member experience platform for the fitness industry. Blair is also founder and President of Confluence Fitness Partners, operating gyms in Central Washington since 1983. He is an educator, practitioner, student and subject matter expert on operational member experience management.

After high school in 1978 Blair spent 5 years as a journeyman carpenter in the Seattle area working on everything from high rise office buildings to residential construction. He saved enough money to open his first gym in the basement of a parking garage in Wenatchee, WA in 1983. It was a long way from there to serving as VP of Strategic Initiatives for the technology company Medallia (MDLA) in Palo Alto CA from 2010 - 2012. It was in his role with Medallia where he conceived of MXM. After convincing the founders of Medallia that it could be done, Blair was given the resources to configure Medallia’s infinitely configurable enterprise software solution into a curated product specifically for the fitness industry.

Today MXM serves about 900 locations and growing at a rate of about 30% a year. Blair still has two gyms in central Washington in the Wenatchee Valley operating as Worx of Wenatchee Valley.
